With his Italian family in hospitality for over\u00a0three decades now and Nick\u2019s long-term ambition\u00a0to start his own venture, the sustained dreams and\u00a0hard work have paid off with a successful opening\u00a0and ongoing patronage.<\/p>\n<p>After finding a suitable site for the bar in 2013\u00a0Nick left behind a career as an accountant and\u00a0embarked on a research trip to Europe. Here,\u00a0he focused on exploring his Italian heritage and\u00a0learning as much as possible about how Italians and\u00a0Spaniards eat, drink and enjoy life.<\/p>\n<p>Now, with Nick and his sister Jessica running\u00a0Bar Torino and the pair sharing ownership with\u00a0their parents, the family has together shaped the\u00a0venue into a unique and memorable dining and\u00a0drinking destination. The bar\u2019s popularity is due in\u00a0no small part to the balance it delivers.<\/p>\n<p>The food is fun, relaxed and communal. The \u201cbar bits\u201d menu\u00a0includes such tempting tastes as house-cured meats and popcorn\u00a0drizzled with honey butter \u2013 then served with salted caramel\u00a0sauce. The interior of the bar also has a warm, European feel with\u00a0whitewashed walls, black tiles and lots of rustic, wooden tones.<\/p>\n<p>Open for 11 hours a day, six days a week, and with seating for 120\u00a0people, demand on the kitchen is considerable. The kitchen and\u00a0bar area is also on display to patrons.
