Hoods Waste Energy

Turbochef ovens save energy and cost less to operate than conventional cooking equipment. With reduced CO2 emissions through the patented ventless technology, they help to reduce their own carbon footprint. An unique catalytic converter system eliminates the need in most cases for expensive extraction hoods, so that is extra savings and flexibility for your business.

 

Patented technology for ventless operation

Turbochef ovens are certified to operate ventless for all foods except 'fatty raw proteins' because the ovens function as their own hood system due to our patented UL-recognised integral recirculating airpath system, which catalytically scrubs grease and VOCs from the air and converts them into CO2 and H2O.


Blower motors recycle air throughout the cook cavity while the air is rapidly heated and cleaned by an interior catalytic convertor. On some models, air is further cleaned by catalysts in the vent tube before being emitted into the environment.

Speed

Rapid cook, up to 12 times faster than conventional methods without compromising on quality. This is done via the use of precisely co-ordinated impinged air and radiant heat browning the outside of the food item, while evenly distributes microwave energy to cook the inside.

 

Reduced wastage

Customisation & Consistency

Turbochef ovens have the ability to be programmed with up to 256 pre-set menu items and once programmed, the control panel provides a simple push button operation. The oven will perform exactly the same cook cycle time and time again producing consistent results, therefore reducing the need for skilled operators.
