Club Kilsyth is located in Bayswater North in Melbournes's outer east, nestled in the foothills of the Mount Dandenong ranges. The Club is approximately 10 years old, and is a community owned Club. The Club's Licence holder is the Mountain District Basketball Association, and all profits generated are channeled back into community projects. The Club boasts a membership of approximately 16,000, and won the Clubs Victoria Best Bistro Award in 2005.
Club Kilsyth was devastated by fire in October 2005, which totally gutted the building, resulting in it being demolished, and a new one built. The building program has taken a full twelve months to complete, and the grand opening occured in November 2006.
The equipment chosen included Waldorf 800 Series ranges, cooktop, chargrills, salamanders and fryers. Convotherm combi steamers were also instaled with a Crown kettle and Washtech rack conveyor. The Club chose to stay with the Moffat equipment package, as they had previously used the Waldorf and Convotherm range of equipment in their kitchen.
Watson's Catering Equipment based in Boronia were responsible for the equipment and complete kitchen fit out.
